Updates: December 2002

I've finally completed Bustle, a chaotic
little slab of all sorts of news and things, and I've tacked it to the bottom of
the main page. I've been playing around with this for months; in fact, I
tried to include this on the main page when I reworked the layout last time.
As things happen, I'll try to keep Bustle updated and pertinent.

I've been uploading some of the reviews that
I have processed and stored away for, in some cases, two years. I have
about 224 up now, but there are still fifty-ish pages of them in Word and
Notepad that need to be tended to. Don't feel that any new reviews will
overtax me (-: Also, I've been working on Dragon War Version 5
recently; I'm making some really good progress, and considering I haven't
updated the fic in six months, I might just have to add a chapter soon.

I don't know what changed to allow this to
happen (I'ven't seen any abnormal harbingers of late, I don't recall), but,
despite this, it has somehow happened: the
fanfics
are back. Thirty-one fanfics that have pretty much been offline since June
of 2001 are ready to once more be read and reviewed, which should now be far
more pleasurable because they have been grammatically edited. Several
fanfics, though, have been selectively withheld from re-upload for various
reasons: Battle Interdimensional Version 1, Battle Interdimensional
Version 2, Gohan: Holder Of Rage Version 1, Signs That DBZ Has
Taken Over Your Mind, That Stupid, Stupid Kakkorratt, Tortuous
Things To Do To Chaozou, Vegita Versus New York City, and When
Vegita's Ego Gets Too Big. These fanfics (and lists) are not planned
to return, although that does not mean they will not. Also, the multiple
versions of Dragon War have not yet returned; there are a lot of chapters
to format and grammatically revise. And, if I remember and/or someone
reminds me, I will upload the unfinished content to this series, which is
basically three partially written chapters. This does not mean these
fanfics are being revived; the content I'm referring to was written right before
they went into stopped production, which all incomplete fanfics I've written are
now in, including
Don't
Irk Gohan, Moron. That fanfic is not turning out the way I
intended it; I've already damaged the plot, forgot to include certain elements,
and have received many comments that it is too confusing (which isn't exactly
something I wasn't aiming for). Fret not, for Dragon War Version 5,
which is slowly coming along and almost ready to be re-released, will remedy any
displeasures this news brings you. In addition, the many, many reviews
I've received will be uploaded in time, but the sheer quantity of them, easily
in the hundreds, will not make the process quick. As always, fresh reviews
make work go faster.
Now, how could Mike make just a
content update? Isn't it mandatory that he tweak just about every page for
every single update? Yes, yes it is. As usual, I've refined the
wording of, essentially, every page on the website. Specifically, though,
there are
two new links, heavily modified content for
ID Numbers, which
are soon to become more useful, and thoroughly altered
Information.
The
DBFCC will be subject to a fairly heavy update quite soon (which kind of
needs more submissions to occur) and a fabulously chaotic new page will be
debuting shortly as well.

Mike is happy. After this year's airshow, I figured that,
if the Blue Angels didn't pull any crap and the Snowbirds were paid some
attention, those two teams and the Thunderbirds, who always attend because they
are swell, might appear at Dayton's monstrous centennial of flight airshow next
summer. I've been hoping for it since the plan to expand the airshow for
next year was first announced a few years ago. I considered it a mere
plaything of coolness. Yes, well, Patroule de France and the Snowbirds and
the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds have all agreed to perform at the show.
I cannot relate my elation.
Also, if you ever have that need for school
to be cancelled one day and it doesn't look like any weather catastrophes are
imminent, let a water-main break just happen unexpectedly. I was off for
two days about two weeks ago for such a reason, and that meant unplanned
awesome-insane chlling.
I've been digging through Planet Namek's old
files on The Internet Archive
for a while now in hopes of finding a specific update record. System
traffic and storage anomalies have prevented my success until recently. I
never dated the first chapter of the original "Dragon War," so I've gone quite a
while with the nagging knowledge that I don't know when I started writing
fanfics, which is the same time I really got into writing period (kind of).
I'm fairly confident that I found it, the specific date my first fanfic was
posted anywhere, a week or so ago: tomorrow marks three years. I'm pretty
busy with school right now, but I'll try to have an update ready by tomorrow
evening with a bunch of content. If I amn't ready then., there shall be a
massive update shortly after I go on winter break from school, which is Friday.
