And today's schooling was also delayed two
hours by the cold.

Monday was Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so I
didn't have school. Tuesday was the first day of the second semester,
which is usually one of the most hectic days of the school year, but snow caused
a two-hour delay and subsequently thirty minute, very rushed class period.
Yesterday seemed to be the first normal day since the previous Monday--finals
altered last Tuesday through Thursday and there was no school on Friday--but the
principal came over the intercom, announced a lockdown, and we were all forced
to stay in first period longer than normal so the drug dogs could sweep the
school (nothing was found). And then today is a cancellation because of
cold. (-:

The absolute air temperature is about two
degrees Fahrenheit at the moment. The winds are in a lull, but when they
pick back up, I challenge anyone who doesn't believe in wind chill to spend some
time outside. Actually, I don't, because that could easily be fatal.
This air mass is pretty awesome. Especially since it has cancelled school
for me today, and cancelled school for almost every other district in the area,
many as early as last evening. Stay warm. Oh, well; the temperature
is now one increment above nothing on the Fahrenheit scale.

Snow is good because it can delay school.
I told Goku Girl back in October or November
that I would have the 2002 Sennenki Contest judged by the end of this month, and
for a while I felt that I could hold to that. However, between the
holidays, finals (last week), general computer glitches, and other activities
and such, I've been unable to make any progress in weeks. So, I have some
fanfics to be reading.
Also, a few weeks ago the French aerobatic
team pulled out of this year's arishow for budgetary reasons. Yes.
Judging...if you're involved this year, you better start now.

The radio just informed me that today is
01/02/03. Sometimes the numerical anomolies of dates are just neat, but
this one is really cool.

More than six months after I first uploaded
it, the prologue to
Dragon
War Version 5 is back. I really didn't want this fanfic to just be a
continuation fanfic, picking up after Dragon Ball GT, but I'd already
posted the prologue and promised myself that I wouldn't start all over again.
So, I've designated different parts for the fanfic, and am now starting at a
point that is not the beginning. But I didn't scrap the prologue, so this
is not a new version of Dragon War; now it is
Dragon War Version 5, Complex 13: Corruption; Prologue: War Echoes. It
only took me six months to figure out how to do this. The really awesome
part about this is that I will be able to write different segments of the fanfic
at once, hopefully keeping a safe distance between myself and the bordeom I
sometimes feel when writing the same part for months on end: the first chapters
to complexes 11 and 13 should be ready soon.
I've gone ahead and entered it in
Goku Girl's 2003 Sennenki
Fanfiction Contest. If you're going to enter, please do it soon,
regardless of how much of your fanfic is written; the judges need a lot of time
to get through all of the fanfics (I'm still working on the 2002
Action/Adventure category).

2003 C.E. is now present (at least here in
Dayton). Commence a magnificent new revolution about Sol aboard Earth!
